Always being updated
The list of works is built from our essays’ bibliographies, not kept by hand. Each time an essay changes, an automatic check flags the list if it no longer matches, and we rebuild it. Each essay’s own bibliography is always the final word. We re-check essays against newer scholarship. When it changes a point, we update the essay, send it back through review, and log the change below.

- Early creed essay: added and answered the objection that 1 Corinthians 15:3–7 is a patchwork rather than a single formula, and added David Graieg’s 2025 article in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, which defends the creed, to the bibliography.
- Every essay: now shows the date of its most recent review, read from its own review record.
- Fine-tuning essay: now names physicist Victor Stenger’s argument that the life-permitting ranges are wider than often claimed, and Luke Barnes’s reply, and describes the data as “widely accepted” rather than “not seriously disputed”.
- Early creed essay: James D. G. Dunn’s quotation located in a copy of the book and its page narrowed from pp. 854–855 to p. 855.

Listing a scholar under Books & articles or Critics means an essay cites their work. It does not mean we endorse their views. Our essays cite Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant scholars, scholars of other faiths, and sceptics, each for the specific point the essay uses it for. Read how we check what we publish.
